7 more treatments!

You read the title right!!! 7 weekdays left!!! I am so stinking excited...I would be more excited if I were able to keep anything at all in my stomach! Woohoo! You all missed the party at my house this weekend! It was BYOElectrolytes and you had to supply your own puke bucket. Really good time :)

Sometimes it honestly feels like my body has declared war on my soul...it's a constant struggle. Maybe that's what cancer really is...The location (brain, breast, pancreas, etc.) of the cancer declaring a sort of battle on the heart and soul. Truth is that one's heart and soul always ALWAYS win this battle...it's just a matter of when and where. Heaven is a place too, ya know!

Out frame!

I am not dying! The brilliant neurological-Oncology genius At UCLA has given me no inclination that I will be leaving this planet anytime soon! YAY! 7 more weekdays of this chemotherapy-radiation malarkey, then 4-6 weeks off for good behavior :), then the ever popular MRI!!

Thank you so much for reading!

  3. Hey girl! Found your site through LoveBomb. You must have amazing courage, and God must have an amazing story to tell through your ordeal. Praying for you to keep running the race set before you, always looking forward...and praying the God, in His mercy, will give you healing. Ultimately, cancer cannot win-if you are a child of the King..so keep battling!

  5. Kirsten,
I love how you perceive cancer...a battle against the heart and soul. That is so true. I'm glad that you have chosen joy for this journey! Press into God in those weakest puniest moments. He'll walk it out with you. Your grace and your spirit are a testament to the power of love. I pray that God touches you from the top of your head to the soles of your feet and pours out grace, mercy and healing on your body. You are fighting the good fight.
    Blessings,
    ~Erin

  7. Oh...and how do I buy raffle tix for the ipad 2. If I win I would like to give it to my sister. She is a speech language pathologist and will use it for therapy with the autistic children she treats. Studies have shown that ipad 2 apps could play an important role in unlocking the communication barrier that these children so struggle with!! Oh and by the way, You Rock!!

Congrats on seven more treatments.. you're at the finish line! Dad just finished his last round of chemo/radiation and had the same issues with swallowing. Hang in there, it gets better!

  9. You, Lady, are one classy, beautiful, awesomesauce chica. Your worldview is an inspiration to all, and I'm so happy you're finally kicking that ol' Cancer to the curb. Tell that jerk not to darken your door ever again.

Stay strong and have a massive blowout at the end of your week - instead of a puke bucket, might I suggest a puke keg? Or a puke pool? Invite all your friends - even fun for the kids!

    You. Are. Fabulous.

    Much Love,
    Mandi (via Love Bomb)
